How requests are counted, when warnings appear and what happens at the limit.

sGTM plans include a monthly request allowance. A request is one call that reaches your tagging server.
Allowances by plan
| Plan | Requests per month |
|---|---|
| Free | 20,000 |
| Pro | 500,000 |
| Business | 2,000,000 |
| Enterprise | 5,000,000 |
Where to see usage
The Monthly Requests card at the top of a container's Overview shows used versus limit, the percentage and the date the meter resets. The bar turns orange at 80% and red at 95%.
Warnings
- At 80% a banner appears on the container: "Approaching your monthly request limit", with an upgrade link.
- We also email you as you near the limit.
At 100%
At the limit your container may be suspended to stop overage. A suspended container shows a banner with the reason and cannot be started until the situation is resolved. Upgrading your plan is the way to get more headroom; contact support if a container is suspended and you have already upgraded.
Reducing request volume
- Remove duplicate tags that send the same event twice.
- Avoid firing events on every scroll or timer tick.
- Use Event Logs to see which events dominate your traffic (guide).
Still stuck?
