FlyNode MCP Server

Deploy to FlyNode by talking to Claude

Say what to deploy. Claude builds your app, adds the database and gives you the live address. Your secrets never go through the chat.

Paste this address into Claude

  • Claude, Desktop and Code
  • Nothing to install
  • Secrets via a private link
ClaudeExample

Deploy github.com/you/shop to FlyNode with a PostgreSQL database.

On it. Here is what I did:

  • Created the app from your repository
  • Added a PostgreSQL database and set DATABASE_URL
  • Build finished
  • Checked that the address answers
https://your-app.flynode.io

Does it need API keys? I can give you a private link to paste them.

How it works

Three steps, and the first is only once

No wizard to click through. You talk, FlyNode does the work.

STEP 1

Connect Claude once

In Claude, add FlyNode as a connector with one address. Sign in to FlyNode and press Approve. There is nothing to install and no token to copy.

STEP 2

Say what to deploy

Give Claude your GitHub repository. It creates the app, adds the database you ask for, builds it and checks that it answers.

STEP 3

Open your live site

Claude gives you the address. If the build fails, it reads the log and tells you what to fix.

Your project needs to be on GitHub first. Setup steps with every detail: Deploy with Claude guide.

What you can ask

Plain sentences, real results

These are things people say to Claude. Use your own words.

“Deploy github.com/you/shop to FlyNode as shop.”

Creates the app, builds it and checks the address.

“Add a PostgreSQL database to shop.”

Creates it and sets DATABASE_URL. The password is never shown in the chat.

“Add shop.example.com to shop.”

Adds the domain and tells you which DNS records to create.

“My app needs secret variables.”

Gives you a private link to paste your .env. It works once.

“Why did the last build fail?”

Reads the build log and explains what went wrong.

“Roll shop back to the previous version.”

Puts an earlier commit back.

Connection details

Add FlyNode to Claude

FlyNode is a remote MCP server. One address is all Claude needs.

claude.ai and Claude Desktop

  1. Open Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector.
  2. Name it FlyNode and paste this address. Leave Advanced empty.
  3. Press Add, then Connect. Sign in to FlyNode and press Approve.
https://mcp.flynode.io/mcp

Claude Code

  1. Run this command once.
  2. Start Claude Code, type /mcp, choose flynode and sign in.
  3. In your project folder say: deploy this to FlyNode.
claude mcp add --transport http flynode https://mcp.flynode.io/mcp

Claude can create and redeploy apps, read status and logs, add a database or a custom domain, set variables through a private link, and roll back.

You stay in control

Safe by design

Handing work to an assistant should not mean handing over the keys.

Secrets stay out of the chat

Claude gives you a private link. It works once and expires in 15 minutes. Your values go straight to FlyNode.

You choose what Claude may do

When you approve, pick Deploy or Read only. You can limit Claude to one Workspace.

Some things Claude cannot do

It cannot read a variable value or a database password, change billing, manage your team or delete an app.

Disconnect any time

Settings, API tokens, Connected apps, then Disconnect. Claude loses access at once.

Prefer the terminal?

The same thing with one command

Install the flynode command, sign in once and deploy from your project folder. It needs Node.js 20 or newer.

Questions

Good to know

Yes. FlyNode builds from your repository, not from the files on your computer. A public repository works straight away. A private one needs a deploy key first.
