What you get
Matomo, set up the right way
Everything a production install needs, done for you when you click deploy.
The official Matomo
Runs Matomo's own Docker image, the same Matomo you would install yourself. Our test install was Matomo 5.14.2.
Its own MariaDB
Each Matomo gets a MariaDB 11 database of its own, health-checked and tuned to start lean on a small workspace.
Your own passwords
The database passwords are generated for your install and handed to Matomo, so the database step is already wired.
Data that stays put
Matomo's files and its database live on persistent volumes, so restarts and redeploys keep your reports. Nightly backups are on.
Your domain, with SSL
Live on a name.flynode.io address the moment it deploys. Add your own domain and SSL is set up automatically.
Logs, metrics and a terminal
Watch Matomo's logs, its RAM and CPU use, and open a shell or the database details from the app page.
We tested it
We deployed Matomo on FlyNode on 4 November 2026
- Answering on its own SSL address 42 seconds after we pressed Deploy.
- 145 MB of RAM for Matomo once running, before any traffic.
- The first visit opens Matomo's own installer, where you create your login and your first website.

How it works
Live in three steps
- 01
Pick a Cloud Workspace
Choose a size on the Cloud page. Matomo has no plan of its own: it runs on your workspace next to any other apps.
- 02
Deploy Matomo
Open the 1-click catalog, choose Matomo, keep or type its address (name.flynode.io) and deploy. The database comes with it.
- 03
Run the installer
Open the address and follow Matomo's installer: create your super user, add your website and copy its tracking code.
Sizes
Pay for the size, not the hits
Matomo needs at least 1 GB of memory and 1 CPU, so it runs on every size. Pick a bigger one for busy sites or to run other apps beside it.
Compare
Matomo Cloud or your own Matomo
Matomo's own team runs Matomo Cloud. On FlyNode you run your own copy of Matomo On-Premise on managed compute.
| Matomo Cloud | Your Matomo on FlyNode | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | From 29 a month (excl. tax) for 50,000 hits, rising with traffic | Your Cloud Workspace, from $3.95 a month |
| Traffic | Priced by hits a month; above 10 million, custom pricing | No hit limit from FlyNode; the size of your workspace is the limit |
| Data kept | Raw data 24 months, reports kept | As long as you keep it, on your workspace storage |
| Plugins | Chosen and run by Matomo | Install the plugins you want in your own Matomo |
| Who runs it | Matomo's team, including upgrades | You own the app; FlyNode runs the server, SSL and backups |
Pick Matomo Cloud when
You want Matomo run by the people who make it, with upgrades and support included, and your traffic fits a plan.
Pick FlyNode when
You want the data on your own install, a lot of traffic without a higher tier, your own plugins, or other apps next to it.

Good questions, short answers
The things people ask before moving their Matomo. Not here? Write to hello@flynode.io and a person will reply.
Yes. FlyNode runs Matomo's official Docker image, the free On-Premise edition. Matomo is made by InnoCraft and FlyNode is not affiliated with them; we provide the managed compute it runs on.
