FlyNode vs TAGGRS
Both host Google's server container on your own subdomain and both start free. TAGGRS routes requests through a load balancer to a pool of its own tracking servers; FlyNode runs every container on its own, with CPU and memory set by its plan.

FlyNode Server GTM hosting

Pro $15, Business $45, Enterprise $75, per container
- Up to 5 free containers, 15,000 requests each

- Same account runs your apps on Cloud Workspace
The short version
FlyNode costs less at every paid tier ($15, $45 and $75 against $26, $68 and $152) and gives each container its own CPU and memory, one hop from your domain. TAGGRS gives bigger allowances per tier, a 10 million tier, EU data residency with ISO 27001, and failover across its own servers.
Architecture
Where a tracking request goes
Follow one request from a shopper's browser to Google or Meta. TAGGRS adds a load balancer and a pool of its own tracking servers; FlyNode sends it to the container you pay for.
TAGGRS
5 hops- Shopper's browserSends the event to your tracking subdomain
- Your subdomainDNS points at a TAGGRS IP address
- TAGGRS load balancerEnriches or strips data, keeps logs, picks a server
- TAGGRS tracking serversMoved to a less loaded server when one nears capacity
- Google, Meta, TikTokYour server tags send the events
FlyNode
4 hops- Shopper's browserSends the event to your tracking subdomain
- Your subdomain → your FlyNode serverSSL, request counting and optional bot detection at the proxy, no extra hop
- Your own sGTM containerGoogle's official image, 2 GB to 4 GB memory and 1 to 4 CPU by plan
- Google, Meta, TikTokYour server tags send the events
Its own container, its own resources
Each sGTM container runs alone, with CPU and memory set by its plan: 1 CPU on Pro, 2 on Business, 4 CPU and 4 GB on Enterprise. TAGGRS does not publish what a container gets.
One hop fewer
Your tracking domain points at the server that runs your container. There is no load balancer and server pool in between.
No moves behind your back
TAGGRS moves a container to a less loaded server when its server nears capacity. A FlyNode container stays on its server, with the CPU and memory its plan sets.
Several sites on one account
Run a container per site, each with its own plan and allowance, and up to 10 domains on Business. TAGGRS says each account is meant for one website.
More free room
Run up to 5 free containers with 15,000 requests each. TAGGRS's Free plan gives up to 10,000 requests.
Your apps on the same cloud
The account that hosts your sGTM can also run n8n, a database or your own code on a Cloud Workspace. One login, one bill, team roles for Viewer, Developer and Admin. Watch, restart or redeploy the container like any other app.
TAGGRS's request path is taken from its Infrastructure page. FlyNode serves sGTM from 3 regions: North America, Europe and Dhaka (BDIX).
Price
Price at a similar volume
List prices per month in US dollars, billed monthly. The tiers do not line up exactly: TAGGRS's allowances are larger at each step.

Middle tier
$23 a month lower$60/mo billed yearly
$37.50/mo billed yearly, 2 CPU

TAGGRS also lists prices in euros (€25, €65 and €145 billed monthly). Per million requests the top tiers are close: about $15 on TAGGRS Ultimate and $15 on FlyNode Enterprise. If you need 10 million in one container, TAGGRS has the tier.

Which one
The honest answer
Both are good. Here is when each one fits.
When TAGGRS is the better pick
Choose TAGGRS if
- You need EU data residency, ISO 27001 and an SSO login for your company.
- You want failover: TAGGRS spreads paid plans across several servers.
- You need 3 or 10 million requests in one plan, or an Enterprise SLA.
- You want a ready plugin for Shopify, Magento, PrestaShop, Shopware or Lightspeed.
- You want live chat on every plan, or pay by iDEAL, Bancontact or invoice.
When FlyNode is the better pick
Choose FlyNode if
- You want the lower price at each paid tier: $15, $45 and $75 a month.
- You want each sGTM container on its own, with CPU and memory set by its plan, instead of behind a shared load balancer.
- You track several sites and want one account, with a container and an allowance per site.
- You want more free room: up to 5 free containers with 15,000 requests each.
- You also run n8n, a database or your own code. One account, one dashboard, one bill.
Switching
Moving from TAGGRS takes three steps
Keep your current host running until you are happy with the new one.
- Step 1
Pick a plan
Start a Free container (no card) or choose Pro, Business or Enterprise for each site.
- Step 2
Connect Google Tag Manager
Pick the same server container, or paste its config string. Tags and triggers do not change.
- Step 3
Change the DNS record
Point your tracking subdomain at FlyNode instead of TAGGRS, check the live meter, then cancel the old plan.
FAQ
Good questions, short answers
Questions about this comparison. More? Email hello@flynode.io.
Per plan, yes: $15, $45 and $75 against $26, $68 and $152 billed monthly. TAGGRS's tiers hold more requests (750K, 3M and 10M against 500K, 2M and 5M), so compare at your own traffic. Per million requests the top tiers come out about the same.
